Our Cause

The first ten days of Ally's life was spent in an incubator at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Markham Stouffville Hospital. As new parents, this unplanned twist left us scrambling to cope with the physical and mental stress of caring for a sick child away from home. It meant commuting to the hospital during the wee hours of cold November days for early morning feeds, and spending the better part of the days standing by to address the needs of our newborn until well into the evenings.

Ally was one of the lucky babies who was discharged after ten days. Many parents of other newborns suffered this commute for months; some juggling other parenthood responsibilities, work commitments, or even the lack of private transportation means.

During this trying time, we were comforted by the cozy and peaceful space at the Ronald McDonald Family Room. For us, and other parents with children at the NICU, it served as a true home away from home.

As a token of our gratitude, and to contribute in a small way to the comfort of other families in need, November Blossom has committed to donating 50 cents from the sale of each product in our Budding Love Collection to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Ronald McDonald Family Room.
